The Biden Administration is dealing with a backlog in security clearances for personnel in the Executive Office of the President, limiting their access to the White House and preventing them from performing their duties. In response, the President has authorized interim Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearances for affected staff for up to six months. The White House Counsel will oversee the process, with the authority to grant and revoke these clearances as necessary.
