President Trump has declared an emergency in Kentucky following severe storms, flooding, and landslides that began on February 14, 2025. FEMA has been authorized to coordinate disaster relief efforts and provide emergency assistance to affected communities. Federal aid will cover 75% of emergency protective measures to support recovery efforts across all 120 counties. Jeremy Slinker has been appointed to lead FEMA’s response in the state.
