The U.S. government has officially announced its withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO), citing mismanagement of global health crises, lack of reform, and disproportionate financial burdens on the U.S. The move halts funding, recalls personnel, and redirects efforts toward alternative global health partnerships. The administration also revokes previous policies aligning the U.S. with WHO-led pandemic responses. While withdrawal is in progress, the U.S. will cease negotiations on the WHO Pandemic Agreement and related regulations.
